MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019194 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 4, for 'automated pavement laying device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sarbeswara Hota.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated pavement laying device, comprises of a platform 101 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, multiple motorized wheels 102 for facilitating movement of the platform 101 over the surface, an imaging unit 103 generate a 3-dimensional mapping of surroundings of the platform 101, a touch interactive display panel 104 to select an area where asphalt mixture is to be laid, an electronically controlled nozzle 105 is arranged on the chamber 112 for pouring the evaluated amount of the mixture on the area, via a conduit 106, that is measured by a flow meter configured with the conduit 106, and a plate 111 arranged with the platform 101 by means of an extendable shaft 107 to extend/retract for positioning a motorized roller 108 installed on the plate 111 by means of a pair of links, onto poured mixture to rotate for applying the mixture over the surface."
