MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003682 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 18, 2024, for 'automated pickle extraction device for jars.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated pickle extraction device for jars, comprising a ring 1 developed to be accommodated around mouth portion of a jar stored with pickle, a laser acuity sensor is positioned on ring 1 for detecting diameter of jar, a motorized iris lid 2 embedded within ring 1 to close for gripping ring 1 with jar in a secured manner, a communication module integrated with microcontroller for establishing a wireless communication between microcontroller and a computing unit, a pair of hollow J-shaped members 3 configured with ring 1 and each installed with a plate 4, a robotic arm 5 configured with ring 1 for extracting a pickle from jar via a fork 6 attached with robotic arm 5, and placing pickle on one of plates 4 and an L-shaped blade 10 configured with each of members 3 via a pair of motorized sliders 11 for cutting pickle."
