MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024042 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'automated plant sapling cultivation device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Harshavardan J Hilli; and Poonam Gupta.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated plant sapling cultivation device, comprising, a cylindrical body 1 associated with the device and accessed by a user for potting a plant sapling inside the body 1, a pair of hemi-spherical members 2 by means of a hinge joint 3 that is accessed by the user for opening the body 1 in view of accommodating root of the sapling along with soil inside the body 1, a sensing module for monitoring parameters including moisture and nutrient level of the accommodated soil, a multi-sectioned chamber 7 integrated with multiple electronically controlled nozzles 8 to dispense water or fertilizer stored in aid chamber 7 in the soil in view of nourishing the soil for healthy growth of the sapling, and a cylindrical body 1 for potting a plant sapling inside the body 1."
