MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020693 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'automated plantation device.'
Inventor(s) include M. Moni; Sonam Arya; Surbhi; and Nimra.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated plantation device includes a body 1 configured with multiple rods 2 for support on surface, chamber 4 developed for storing soil, water and seeds, a display panel 7 to input type of plant to be planted inside body 1, an valve 8 attached with chamber 4 dispenses soil and water inside container 10 which is detected by weight sensor integrated in container 10, a stirrer 9 assembled inside container 10 mixes soil and water to prepare paste that is pushed by a pusher 11 mapped inside container 10 upto threshold height, multiple sliding unit 13 translates lid 14 to open receptacle(s) 15, a joint 16 configured within plate 12 tilts plate 12 for dispensing paste inside receptacle(s) 15, a gripper 17 withdraws and place seed(s) inside receptacle(s) 15, an imaging-unit 19 determines plant's length, a link 20 configured with cutter 21 cuts plants to maintain appropriate plant's length."
