MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020677 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'automated pole excavation device.'
Inventor(s) include Kuldeep Chauhan; Mamta Bansal; Vipin Kumar Tyagi; and Sumika Jain.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A automated pole excavation device, comprising of a body 1 attached with a display panel 2 for providing input regarding location of a pole, multiple motorized wheels 3 are arranged underneath body 1 for moving towards location, an imaging unit installed on body 1 to determine any obstacle present on the route, an ultrasonic sensor installed on body for monitoring length of pole, a multiple rods 5 are assembled on body 1 for positioning a motorized sliding unit 8 over circumference, a blade 6 assembled on sliding unit 8 by means of a motorized ball and socket joint 7 to rotate blade 6 and sliding unit 8 to translate rotating blade 6 along sliding unit 8 for digging over circumference, a drilling unit 9 is assembled on sliding unit 8 to aid in digging and multiple motorized clamping units 10 arranged on body 1 for a grip over the pole."
