MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019415 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'automated pot preparation device.'

Inventor(s) include Shambhu Bharadwaj.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated pot preparation device comprises of, a platform 1 configured with a circular disc 2 that is to be placed with clay, a touch enabled to give input commands regarding shape and dimensions of a pot, a weight sensor to determine a weight of the clay to be required for preparing the pot, an elongated member 5 having a first end installed with an electromagnetic spring 6 and a second end arranged with the disc via a rotating arrangement 7, configured between the platform 1 and disc to alternatively compress and expand for providing a reciprocatory motion to the member 5, a bar 8 arranged with a curved-shaped unit 9 via a telescopically operated rod 10 to extend for positioning the unit 9 in contact with the clay, and an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 11 mounted on the platform 1 for detecting shape and dimensions for pot."
