MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012465 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'automated poultry birds monitoring device.'
Inventor(s) include Vijay Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated poultry birds monitoring device comprises of a frame 1 having a pair of members 2 that are connected with each other by means of multiple electromagnets 3 integrated on rim of members 2 that are activated/de-activated for attaching/detaching members 2, an imaging unit 5 installed on the frame 1 for capturing images in vicinity of frame 1 to determine dimensions of poultry bird, multiple links 6 integrated within members 2 to get extended for altering dimensions of frame 1, multiple wheels 7 to provide movement of frame 1, a gyroscopic sensor is integrated on frame 1 for monitoring orientation of frame 1, a motorized slider 8 integrated in between frame 1 and imaging unit 5 for preventing tossing over of imaging unit 5, and a motorized iris lid 9 integrated on a chamber 10 stored with feed for bird in order to dispense the feed for bird."
