MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202444102529 A) filed by China Aluminum Engineering Corporation Limited, Beijing, on Dec. 24, 2024, for 'automated production method of negative electrode graphitization.'
Inventor(s) include Yang, Sheng; Deng, Chao; Sun, Jiyun; He, Chuan; Bai, Shengwu; and Zhang, Yan.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an automated production method of negative electrode graphitization, in which automated processing methods are used for the loading and unloading of a negative electrode powder crucible from the furnace, the cleaning and cooling the negative electrode powder crucible, the loading and unloading of the negative electrode powder, and the loading and unloading from the furnace, cooling, and grading of auxiliary materials of graphitization, and the connections between the steps all use automated conveying methods. The present invention can avoid manual extraction of the high-temperature crucible from the furnace and eliminate safety risks. The high-temperature crucible is cooled with inert gas, preventing the risks of crucible oxidation and negative electrode powder deflagration. The auxiliary materials are load into and unloaded from the furnace using an automated device with a dust collection device, and the workshop environment is good. The negative electrode powder is automatically loaded into and unloaded from the crucible with negative pressure, resulting in a high yield of negative electrode powder and a good workshop environment. Continuous production of the entire line is realized, the number of workers required is reduced, and the production efficiency is improved."
