MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020701 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'automated pulse germination and sprout preparation device.'
Inventor(s) include Alpana Joshi; Manoj Kumar; Esheta Tyagi; and Preeti Garg.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated pulse germination and sprout preparation device, comprises a cylindrical body 1 configured with compartments 2 ranging from 4 to 6 in numbers that are to be placed with soaked pulses, a touch enabled screen 3 to give input commands for allowing germination of the pulses and preparing sprouts from the germinated pulses, an electronic nozzle 5 for opening, a suction unit in view of withdrawing excess water from each of the compartments 2 and collecting the water in a chamber, camera 8 mounted within each of the compartments 2 for capturing multiple images of the compartments 2, a hydraulic pusher 11 to extend for transferring a pre-set amount of each of the germinated pulses in holes, and a motorized for mixing the germinated pulses with the ingredients in order to prepare the sprouts."
