MUMBAI, India, Jan. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511103902 A) filed by Chitkara University; and Chitkara Innovation Incubator Foundation, Rajpura, Punjab, on Oct. 28, 2025, for 'automated quality inspection and labeling system for sealed containers.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Rupinder Singh; Jarnail Singh; Dr. Amanpreet Singh; Dr. Jaswinder Singh; Dr. Maninderjit Singh Khanna; and Manjinder Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated quality inspection and labeling system for sealed containers, comprises of a framework 101, a food-grade conveyer assembly 102 comprising a plurality of zones, including, an entry section align and position containers, an inspection and quality inspecting zone for assessing container's stored contents levels and product freshness, a sticker application zone for applying labels onto containers, an exit and sorting zone for sorting containers based on quality analysis, a grasping module for securely handling containers, a lid handling module 106 grip and rotate lids of container to allow gas diffusion, a camera 108 for analyzing color, turbidity, and particle clarity of contents, a sticker application module to apply a label over a micro-vent of the container, a rejection and sorting module to redirect defective containers to a rejection bin 115 and an indicator light for indicating filling status of the container."
