MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531018763 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 3, for 'automated rainwater collecting device for public place.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Pragyan Paramita Pattnaik.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated rainwater collecting device for public place comprises a cuboidal housing 101 having a platform 102 accessed by a user to sit, a rain sensor installed over the housing 101 to monitor presence of rain in surroundings, plurality of motorized iris lids 103 installed over the housing 101 to collect rainwater, a pH sensor installed in the tray 104 to monitor pH level of the rainwater, an electronic nozzle 105 installed at base portion of tray 104 to dispense the rainwater within a multi-sectioned chamber 106, a weight sensor installed in each section of the chamber 106 to monitor weight distribution of the collected water, an electronic valve 108 installed with each of the section to transfer of the collected rain water, a microphone for user input regarding dispensing of the collected water."
