MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024143 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'automated repairing device for four wheelers.'
Inventor(s) include Aditya Kumar; Vidya Sagar; Parveen Kumar; Anikate; and Sarabjit Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated repairing device for four wheelers comprising, a platform 1 positioned over a ground surface by means of multiple omnidirectional wheels 2 that actuates to provide translation to platform 1 over surface as per requirement, a touch interactive display panel 3 installed over platform 1 to enable a user to provide input regrading repairing of a corroded patch over a door of a four wheeler present in proximity, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 mounted over platform 1 to determines presence of patch over door, a robotic gripper 5 installed over platform 1 to withdraw one of sheet and position over platform, a welding unit 8 configured with tertiary robotic link 7 over aligned sheet followed by actuation of welding unit 8 to perform welding of sheet for affixing sheet within cavity."
