MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024049 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'automated road-barriers cleaning device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Dilip Kumar; and Dr. Sakuldeep Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated road-barriers cleaning device comprises of a platform 1 configured with plurality of wheels 2 to move the platform 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 determines position of a road-barrier, a LiDAR sensor determines dimensions of the barrier, a telescopically operated rod 4 for increasing/decreasing dimensions of the rod 4, a first motorized sliding unit 5 positions an inverted U-shaped member 6, a drawer arrangement 7 integrated in the member 6 to extend/retract the member 6, a dust sensor detects deposition of dust on the barrier, a second motorized sliding unit 8 integrated in between the member 6 and the rod 4 provide displacement to the member 6, plurality of electronically controlled nozzles 9 dispenses water stored in a chamber 10, and a pair of motorized rollers 11 equipped with plurality of brushes 12 scrub the surface of the barrier."
