MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026012 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'automated road sign board cleaning device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated road sign board cleaning device, comprises a housing 1 positioned over a ground surface in proximity to road sign board, multiple omnidirectional wheels 2 translates the housing 1, display panel 3 accessed by the user to give inputs, an imaging unit 4 captures images of road sign board, an ultrasonic sensor monitors distance of the board from the housing 1, a primary extendable robotic arm 5 extends to position the plate 6 near to the board, a laser measurement sensor monitors dimension of board, high pressure nozzles 7 dispenses pressurized water, motorized brushes 8 scrubs the surface, secondary robotic arm 9 positions wiper 10, a tertiary arm 11 positions air blower 12."
