MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010065 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'automated roof sheet repairing device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated roof sheet repairing device, comprising a platform 1 developed to be positioned on top of a roof sheet installed on a shed, a microphone 2 accessed by a user for entering a voice-command regarding initiation of a repairing process, a camera 3 detecting damaged location on sheet, a GPR (ground penetrating radar) unit 4 for navigating underneath layers of sheet, and microcontroller evaluates strength of sheet at various location for actuating multiple wheels 5 for maneuvering platform 1 at determined path to reach detected location, a laser acuity sensor detecting dimension of damaged location for actuating two-axis lead screw arrangement 6 for providing bi-directional movement for cutting damaged location by means of cutting unit 14, and a robotic arm 12 positioned a motorized roller 13 for scrubbing sheet in view of eliminating any uneven surface for providing smooth finish to sheet."
