MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013319 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'automated safety mesh installation device.'

Inventor(s) include Deepika Sood.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated safety mesh installation device, comprising a platform 1 configured with four motorized wheels 2 to move platform 1, an artificial intelligence based camera 3 captures images of surroundings which is displayed on a touch enabled screen 4 to allow a user to select a location, a flap 5 gets positioned near specified location by extension of a hydraulically operated bar 6, a pair of sensors installed over flap 5 to analyze condition of surface, a drilling unit 7 installed over flap 5 via a two lead screw arrangement 8 for drilling holes within surface, a first robotic gripper 10 clasps a mesh and position over area, a second robotic gripper 11 installed over flap 5 to clasp a clamp from one of chamber 9 to position in alignment with one of holes, a crank and link pushes clamp within hole to secure mesh over surface."
