MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010117 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'automated sand sieving device.'
Inventor(s) include Manish Joshi; and Arun Kumar Pipersenia.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated sand sieving device comprising a frame 1 having a pair of vertical platform 2 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, a tactile sensor monitoring hardness of surface, multiple extendable pins 3 extend for getting penetrated within surface in order to fix frame 1, multiple suction units 4 affixing frame 1 on surface, a display panel 5 for receiving input regarding quantity of sand to be sieve, an imaging unit 6 to determine location of heap of sand positioned in proximity to frame 1, a robotic arm 7 arranged on frame 1 and integrated with a curved plate 8 to scoop a portion of sand from heap, a primary filter tray 9 for separating pebbles and debris from sand, a secondary filter for receiving filtered sand, a vibrating unit for producing vibrating sensations for separating granules from filtered, and a plate 11 for receiving sieved sand."
