MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023582 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'automated sealant filling device for tiles.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Rohit Kumar Singhal; and Mohit Sanguri.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated sealant filling device for tiles comprises of a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface where tiles are to be fixed, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 10 to monitor fixing of tiles on the surface, a robotic for accessing multiple straw tubes stored in a chamber 9 arranged on the platform 1 and insert the tubes in between adjacent tiles, a laser measurement for monitoring length of the tubes inserted underneath the tiles, multiple motorized wheels 6 to move the platform 1 over the gapping, a T-shaped hydraulic structure 7 to extend for pressing against the adjacent tiles in view of applying pressure on the tiles to ensure levelling of tiles on the surface, an electronically controlled nozzle 5 to dispense the evaluated amount sealant in the gapping, and an IR (infrared) sensor for monitoring depth of the gapping."
