MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611023766 A) filed by Jecrc University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Feb. 27, for 'automated snack tasting and feedback-enabled vending device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated snack tasting and feedback-enabled vending device, comprising a housing 101, a plurality of isolated transparent compartments 102 to store and display a respective snack variant under controlled and hygienic conditions, a gaze-based interest detection unit to detect sustained visual focus of a user on a selected compartment 102 and evaluates user interest, a motorized rotational alignment arrangement to rotate the container 104 by a predefined angle to align a dispensing outlet 107 with a hemispherical tasting unit below for controlled gravity-assisted transfer of the dispensed snack unit, a facial expression analysis means to capture facial expressions of the user during consumption of the snack, a feedback input means to receive explicit feedback related to taste attributes and improvement suggestions from the user, and a packaged snack dispensing and payment module to dispense packaged snack items upon successful payment."
