MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411005467 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 27, 2024, for 'automated snow removal device from vehicles.'
Inventor(s) include Anikate Kumar; Vikasdeep Mann; and Sarabjeet Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated snow removal device from vehicles, comprises of a platform 1 supported with rods 2 to position on a ground surface in proximity to a snowed-in vehicle, a motorized omnidirectional wheel 3 installed with each of the rods 2 for providing movement to the platform 1 over the surface, an imaging unit 4 installed on the platform 1 for detecting type of snow, an fibre optic sensor to determine thickness of the wet snow, a hot air blower 8 installed on the platform 1 for melting ice-sleets, a robotic link configured in between the blower 8 and platform 1 for positioning the blower 8 in proximity to the ice sleets to melt the ice sleets from the vehicle, and a speaker 9 mapped on the platform 1 to notify a user regarding completion of the snow removal process from the vehicle."
