MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024709 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'automated sole protector fastening/unfastening device.'
Inventor(s) include Devika Rani; and Dr. Gopal Arora.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated sole protector fastening/unfastening device, comprising a platform 1 having a first and second portions positioned on a ground surface and over first portion user's foot is positioned, two motorized first sliding units 2 arranged on lateral sides of first portion, a motorized roller 3 unwraps a shoe protector sheet and thereafter first sliding units 2 lay unwrapped sheet on first portion, plurality of pressure sensors detect pressure applied by user's shoe on first portion, plurality of extendable sharp-edged pins 5 extend leading to piercing of sheet along peripheral portion of shoe's sole, a telescopically operated L-shaped bar 6 extend and position end of bar 6 over first portion, a blade 7 cuts sheet, two motorized second sliding units 8 translate and clippers 9 grip end of adhered protector sheet for removing sheet from user's shoe sole."
