MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017942 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'automated spectacle cleaning device.'
Inventor(s) include Ashendra Kumar Saxena.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated spectacle cleaning device, comprises of a U-shaped elongated member 1 developed to be positioned on surface, a curved shaped frame 2 allow user to place spectacle on frame 2,an artificial intelligence-based image capturing module 4 for capturing multiple images of the spectacle to determine the presence of spectacle, a pair of telescopic clippers 5 to grip spectacle in secure manner, a dust sensor integrated on frame 2 detects dust and foreign particles on spectacles, an electronically controlled nozzle 6 configured on each of tip portions of member 1 to spray cleaning solution, a moisture sensor detects presence of solution over spectacles,, a pair of motorized pads 7 installed on inner periphery of member 1 to rotate and remove dust and foreign particles from spectacles, laser sensor for detecting loosening of screws and joints of spectacle, motorize screw driver 8 configured on sliding arrangement 9 for tightening screws."
