MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007793 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 5, 2024, for 'automated spring manufacturing device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. S Jeeva.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated spring manufacturing device, comprises of a cuboidal body 1 configured with multiple rods 2 that provides support to the body 1, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 installed inside the body 1 for capturing and processing images of inner surroundings of the body 1, a first robotic gripper 5 arranged inside the body 1 for gripping and inserting a free-end of the bar between at least four motorized calendar rollers 6 assembled inside the body 1 to rotate results in bending of the bar in an orientation that results in formation of a spring,, a touch interactive display panel 7 for enabling the user to provide input regarding a type of spring, and a telescopic link 8 arranged inside the inlet 3 for extending to push the bar for bending of the bar at an optimum angle which results in manufacturing the spring."
