MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024130 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'automated stone cutting/crushing device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated stone cutting/crushing device comprises of, a cuboidal shaped housing 1 arranged over a ground surface, multiple motorized wheels 2 assembled beneath the housing 1 to provide movement to the housing 1 over the surface, a touch interactive display panel 3 mounted over the housing 1 to provide input regarding selection of a mode that includes a crushing mode of a stone and a cutting mode, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 mapped on the housing 1 to determine presences of the stone in the surrounding, an inverted L-shaped telescopic bar 5 arranged with the housing 1 to extend, a motorized sliding unit 7 is integrated over inner periphery of the a C-shaped plate 6 to provide translation to a motorized cutter, and a motorized cutter installed with the sliding unit 7 for cutting the stone via the cutter in accordance with the user-specified shape."
