MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018890 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'automated swamp grasses cutting device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ajay Singh Parmar; and Dr. Rajneesh Tyagi.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated swamp grasses cutting device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a surface of a water body grown with swamp grasses, a computing unit enabling a user to give input commands for removing swamp grasses, a camera 2 detecting exact location of swamp grasses, a motorized propeller 3 for maneuvering and positioning the platform 1 in proximity to the grasses in a successive manner, a pair of L-shaped extendable member 5 extend in accordance to height of the swamp grasses blade 6 followed by actuation of the blade 6 to rotate for cutting the grasses, and a motorized slider 8 translating the link 7 from a first portion to a second portion of the members 5, thereby cutting entire length of the grasses via the blade 6."
