MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010748 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 15, 2024, for 'automated swimming pool cleaning device.'
Inventor(s) include Ramesh Chandra Tripathi; and Rohit Kumar Singh Gautam.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated swimming pool cleaning device, comprises of a plate 1 integrated with a telescopically operated handle 2 accessed by a user to grip the plate 1 and the user manually extends/retracts handle 2 for allowing resting of plate 1 at base of a swimming pool, an imaging unit 3 to determine positioning of plate 1 at pool's base and deposition of dirt/dust at pool's base, multiple brushes 4 and scrubbers 5 attached with plate 1 via a motorized pivot joint move in varying direction to scrub the dirt/dust which is transferred into a waste bin 8 via a suction unit 7 for removal of dirt/debris from base and multiple propellers 10 arranged underneath the plate 1 provide movement to the plate 1 in order to clean the pool."
