MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421003808 A) filed by MLIT-18 Technology Private Limited; and Ultratech Cement Limited, Maharashtra, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'automated system and method for bowser inspection at cement plant.'

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to an automated inspection system (100) for bowser inspection, the system includes a jib crane (102) adapted to be mounted on a platform, a motorized hoist (104) serving as a trolley for x-axis movement, a robotic arm (106) equipped with a set of sensors to capture a set of images of the internal surface of the bowser. A programmable logic controller (PLC) integrated with an artificial intelligence (AI) server configured to operate the robotic arm to align with the calculated position of the bowser hole, analyse the captured set of images to perform image annotation, wherein the analysed set of images is sorted to detect the presence and absence of the material within the bowser and emit an alert in response to signals received from the PLC indicating the presence of the material within the bowser."
