MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311088506 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 23, 2023, for 'automated tarpaulin sheet laying device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Kuldeep Yadav.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an automated tarpaulin sheet laying device for agricultural field, comprising a body 1 configured with cylindrical member 2 wrapped with a tarpaulin sheet 3 positioned within an agricultural field, multiple motorized wheels 4 attached with body 1 for maneuvering the body 1, camera 5 mounted over the body 1 to detect area of the field, a touch enabled screen 6 attached over body 1 to illustrate field images, a telescopically operated clamp 7 attached with body 1 to clasp and position the sheet 3 on the field, a gripper 8 attached with body 1 via a three linkage arrangement 9 to clasp and position a nail from a chamber 10 mounted over body 1, over the sheet 3 and a rod 11 attached with the body 1 for supporting the sheet 3."
