MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007794 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 5, 2024, for 'automated thread cutting device for bolts.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated thread cutting device for bolts, comprises a housing 1 utilize to position on a ground surface, a robotic arm 3 installed at base of the housing 1 for gripping one of the bolt from a chamber 14 positioned within the housing 1, a camera 4 installed within the housing 1 for detecting gripping of the bolt, a pair of clamps 6 mounted on a platform 5 having a first and second portion positioned at base of the housing 1 for clamping the bolt, a mechanical ram 7 arranged at the first for pushing the bolt towards a pair of thread rolling dies 9 configured at the second portion, and a vertical slider 10 arranged between the rolling dies 9 and base of the housing 1 slider 10 to move the dies 9 towards each other for maintaining contact with the bolt to perform the tapping."
