MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023562 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'automated tile attaching device.'

Inventor(s) include Mohit Sanguri; and Sushil Kumar Tripathi.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated tile attaching device, comprising an elongated platform 1positioned on ground surface, pair of curved plates 2 configured to the platform 1via motorized sliding unit 3to accommodate a tile, AI based imaging unit 4 to determine dimension of the tile, suction units 5 to grip the tile securely, touch interactive display panel 6 accessed by user to provide input regarding distance to be maintainer between consecutive tiles, linear actuator 7 to lift gripped tile and align with pre-installed tile, hydraulic link to attach the tile with the wall, robotic arm 8 to position a rubberized mallet 9 to apply threshold pressure over the tile to affix the tile with the wall and a motorized hinge joint 10 to deploy a curved member 11beneath the tile to collect excess dripping mixture from the wall."
