MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024939 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'automated tool supporting device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated tool supporting device comprising, an extendable elongated body 1 having top and bottom end accessed by a user to position the bottom end on proximity to waist portion of user, a pair of C-shaped extendable members 3 configured with bottom portion to accommodate waist portion within member, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 2 installed over body 1 determines dimension of user and user's waist portion, a motorized drawer arrangement installed in each of members 3 and body 1 to provide appropriate extension and retraction to members 3 and body 1 for accommodating waist portion within members, a microphone 5 installed over body 1 to receive voice command of user regrading requirement of support for a tool held by user, a pair of telescopic rods 6 configured over top end to extend and position a motorized roller attached with each of rod over tool."
