MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010124 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'automated twisted wire insulating device.'
Inventor(s) include Pradeep Kumar Shah; and Umesh Kumar Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A automated twisted wire insulating device, comprising a housing 1 installed over fixed surface, a touch interactive display panel 2 mounted on housing 1 for providing input regarding length of twisted wire to be insulated, a first ultrasonic sensor for monitoring presence and dimension of wire in proximity to housing 1, a motorized iris lid 3 arranged on housing 1 for allowing user to insert wire within housing 1, a pair of primary rollers 4 to rotate for passing wire inside housing 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 to monitor positioning of wire, a robotic arm 7 arranged within housing 1 for engaging free end of tape from spool 6 onto wire, multiple ball bearings 8 integrated in between housing 1 and iris lid 3 for rotating lid 3 and a pair of secondary rollers 9 for pressing tape over wire to properly affix tape on wire."
