MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024929 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'automated tyre engraving device.'

Inventor(s) include Jasgurpreet Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated tyre engraving device, comprising of a housing 1 positioned over a ground surface by means of multiple omnidirectional wheels 2 installed beneath the housing 1, a touch interactive display panel 4 to enable a user to provide input regrading information that is to be marked over the tyres, a pair of the pneumatic link 5 to retract in view of releasing one of the tyre over a motorized conveyor 6, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 7 to determines dimensions of the tyre, multiple telescopic grippers 9 installed over the platform 8 to extend and grip the trye in a secured manner, a telescopic rod 10 to position a Fiber Laser over the tyre, and a two axis lead screw arrangement 12 to provide translation to engrave user-specified information over the tyre."
