MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025465 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated usb pin case molding device.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated USB pin case molding device, comprises of platform 1 positioned over a fixed surface by means of plurality of suction cups 2, a touch interactive display panel 3 to enable the user to provide an input regarding molding of the USB pin, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 for capturing and processing images of USB pin, a robotic gripper 5 to grip the USB pin and positioned within mold, a mixing chamber 6 stored with plastic pellets, a heating element to melt the plastic pellets, a motorized stirrer 7 to aid in melting of the plastic pallets, an electronic nozzle 8 to pour a regulated amount of the melted plastic within the mold 11, a robotic link 9 for position the nozzle 8 over the mold, a hydraulic press 10 to extend and apply a regulated amount of pressure over the mold."
