MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025486 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated utensil maintenance device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Tejinder Pal Singh Brar; Anuradha Saini; Rajneesh Singh; and Abhishek Thakur.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated utensil maintenance device, comprising a platform 1 positioned over a fixed surface by means of plurality of motorized omnidirectional wheels 2, and platform 1 is placed with utensil over a suction unit arranged over platform 1, a touch interactive display panel 3 to receive an input regrading repairing of utensil, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 determines presence of any burnt stains over utensil, a robotic arm 5 positions a motorized brush configured with arm 5 over utensil for scrubbing burnt stains, a multi-sectioned chamber 6 stored with plurality of heat resistant handle covers of various dimensions, a laser sensor determines dimension of a handle, a robotic gripper 7 engage cover over handle and pull trhe thread and pull out thread for detaching thread resulting in contraction of cover and clenching of handle."
