MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531018773 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 3, for 'automated vehicle protection device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated vehicle protection device, comprising a cylindrical body 101 developed to be positioned at back portion of a vehicle, a pair of motorized clamping units 102 for acquiring a grip at back portion, a motorized sliding gate configured on body 101 to open, a pair of motorized sliding rails 103 to extend for positioning a motorized roller 104 out of body 101, a pair of motorized hinge joints 105 arranged on outer lateral sides of body 101 for providing movement to telescopically operated gripper 106 attached with each of hinge joints 105 for gripping free-end of s sheet 107 coiled around roller 104, an air compressor installed with body 101 to inflate an inflatable member fabricated all-around sheet 107 and an impact sensor is embedded on each of patches for detecting impact over member via external objects."
