MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010129 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'automated wall fastener removal device.'
Inventor(s) include Himansh Kumar; and Amit Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wall fastener removal device, characterizes a platform 1 placed on a ground surface, and equipped with an imaging unit 2, for capturing surrounding images to display on a display panel 3 mounted on platform 1, allowing user to select a wall fastener from the displayed images, the platform 1 is fitted with motorized wheels 4, synchronized with imaging unit 2, to move towards the chosen fastener, an integrated ultrasonic sensor 5 mounted on platform 1 monitors the fastener's height on the wall and a telescopic L-shaped rod 6 positions a frame near the fastener, which houses a cylindrical member 7 with an electromagnetically powered spring 8, in which the spring 8 expands to insert a magnet 9 close to the fastener, adhering the fastener, followed by compression of spring 8 to apply a pulling force to remove the fastener from the wall."
