MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024056 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'automated water route diversion system.'

Inventor(s) include Sohan Lal; and Dr. Dilip Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated water route diversion system, comprising a plurality of cylindrical bodies 1 positioned in alignment with flow of a water body, an imaging unit 2 installed on the body 1 to determine area covered by water body, plurality of motorized rollers 3 integrated on the bodies 1 to rotate for wrapping/ unwrapping straps to establish a boundary on the water body, a motorized circular slider 4 installed on the bodies 1 to raise a curved-shaped plate 5 attached with the slider 4 for halting movement of water, a gyroscope 6 mapped on the plates 5 to detect misbalancing of bodies 1 and plates 5, plurality of iris pores 7 carved on the plate 5 for allowing flow of water from the plates 5 and plurality of LED (Light Emitting Diode) lights 8 installed on the bodies 1 for providing illumination regarding the water level."
