MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007488 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 3, 2024, for 'automated watercraft cleaning device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated watercraft cleaning device, comprising a platform 1 floating in waterbody near a watercraft, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 determines positioning of watercraft, two flaps 3 arranged on platform 1 by a telescopically operated L-shaped rod 4 for positioning flaps 3 in proximity to bow of watercraft, a motorized hinge joint 5 orients flaps 3 to grip watercraft's bow by suction cups, an ultrasonic sensor for monitoring dimensions of watercraft and accordingly length upto which platform 1 to be drowned is calculated, four inflatable air bags 6 keeps platform 1 floating, an iris lid 7 opens and allow an air compressing unit 8 for extracting air, a pump 9 for storing water within bags 6 for drowning platform 1, two robotic arms 10 equipped with a disc 11 for scrubbing hull, and a motorized sliding unit 12 for translating arms 10 to clean entire hull."
