MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202431035479 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on May 4, 2024, for 'automated wax dispensing device for occlusal rims.'
Inventor(s) include Abhijeet Satapathy; and Dr. Rupsa Das.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wax dispensing device for occlusal rims, comprises of a cylindrical shaped hollow frame 1 having a first portion and second portion developed to be held by a user in proximity to an occlusal rim 7, a handle 2 for providing grip to the user while positioning the cylindrical shaped hollow frame 1 above the occlusal rim 7, a conical shaped member 3 that is accessed by the user to fill wax granules, a triggering unit 4 pressed by the user to initiate melting of the wax granules, a heating unit 5 for generating heat and melt the wax granules, and a motorized air blower 6 to push the molten wax paste towards the opening crafted on the second portion of the cylindrical shaped hollow frame 1."
