MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019292 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'automated webbing maintenance device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ramakant Upadhyay.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated webbing maintenance device comprising a body 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, an AI based imaging unit 2 is installed on the body 1 for capturing multiple images in vicinity of body 1, wheels 3 arranged underneath the body 1 to move the body 1 on the surface in proximity to the furniture, an ultrasonic sensor installed on the body 1 for determining exact positioning of the particular strap on the furniture, a corrosion detection sensor integrated on the top portion for detecting the presence of rust on the furniture's end, an nozzle 8 integrated on a chamber 9 to sprinkle anti-rust solution on the end, a robotic arm 10 installed on the body 1 to grip a nail and position the nail over the strap and a hammer 13 over the positioned nail in order to fix the strap at the end."
