MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026183 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 29, 2024, for 'automated welding electrode rod management device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated welding electrode rod management device, comprising a housing 1 is positioned on a ground surface and configured with a hopper 2 accommodates multiple used welding electrode rods, a first chamber 3 receives accommodated electrode rods, a touch enabled screen 4 enables user to enter details regarding dimension of welding flux rod, a hydraulic plunger 5 obtain a powered mixture of accommodated electrode rods, a robotic gripper 6 positions metallic part of electrode rod over a waste container 7, multiple iris holes 8 dispenses powered flux mixture within a sieving tray arranged underneath first chamber 3, a plurality of links 9 filters out flux, a sliding arrangement 10 removes impurities from flux mixture, a second chamber 11 receives sieved mixture, a motorized stirrer mixes flux mixture, a slider crank arrangement 15 provides linear reciprocatory movement to upper plate, and a motorized pinion gear 13 for translating rack to-and-fro."
