MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018847 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'automated window cleaning device.'
Inventor(s) include Manish Joshi.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated window cleaning device, comprising a cuboidal body 1 configured with multiple rods 2 that provides support to the body 1, a motorized wheel 3 is attached with each of the rods 2 for providing movement to the body 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 mounted on the body 1 for determining presence of a dirty window in proximity to the body 1 along with dimension of the window, a robotic link 5 configured with the body 1 for positioning an extendable C-shaped member 6 attached with the link 5 around the window, a pair of electromagnetically operated cleaning pads 7 get magnetized to affix on window, multiple electronic nozzles for dispensing a cleaning solution on the window followed by cleaning of the window by scrubbing the pad 7 on the window in order to clean the window."
