MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003698 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 18, 2024, for 'automated wire stripping device.'
Inventor(s) include Kuldip Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wire stripping device, comprises a first and second rectangular bodies 1 and each carved with an opening 2 to accommodate free-ends of a wire that is to be stripped, a touch enabled screen 4 installed on one of the bodies 1 to give input commands regarding length of insulating cover of the wire to be stripped, a laser acuity sensor positioned on the first body for detecting diameter of the wire, a motorized iris lid 5 embedded within the opening 2 to close for gripping one of the free-ends of the wire in a secured manner, a circular motorized slider 8 configured over a pneumatic blade 7 assembled at the opening 2 of the second body for providing a circular motion to the blade 7, and a speaker 9 mounted on one of the bodies 1 for notifying the user regarding successful striping of the wire."
