MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011284 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 19, 2024, for 'automated wooden plank removing device.'

Inventor(s) include Rupal Gupta; and Rohit Kumar Singh Gautam.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wooden plank removing device includes a frame 1 having a first and second portion 2,3, positioned adjacent to wooden-plank, a handle 4 gripped by user for positioning a bar 5 attached with second-portion 3, adjacent to plank, an imaging unit 6 to determines plank's dimension and synchronously actuates multiple hinge joints 7 arranged on bar 5 for tilting a plate 8 attached with each joints for pulling plank from deck, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting lifting of plank, in case of successful lifting of plank multiple pistons arranged underneath bar 5 extends to lift plank above deck surface, an inductive proximity sensor for detecting presence of nails on plank, a gripper 10 for pulling and removing detected nail from plank, a rod 14 configured with member 11, to accommodate detected nail followed by extension of pusher 13 arranged within member 11 to push nail out from plank."
