MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019163 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'automated workpiece cutting device.'

Inventor(s) include Ashendra Kumar Saxena.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A automated workpiece cutting device, comprising a platform 1 configured with multiple supporting rods 2 positioned over a ground surface for providing support to the platform 1 over the surface, a slot having a V-shaped cavity 3 mounted on the platform 1 for inserting a cylindrical workpiece by a user manually, a pair of clamping unit 4 installed on the slot for securing the workpiece and to position the workpiece in alignment with the V-shaped cavity 3, a display panel 5 installed on the platform 1 to input detail regarding a portion of a workpiece that is to be extract from the workpiece and a motorized cutting unit 6 installed on the platform 1 for cutting the workpiece as required by the user."
