MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441012491 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'automated workpiece joining device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated workpiece joining device, comprises of a platform 1 attached with two slots 3 for enabling a user to position a first and second workpiece over slots 3 which is detected by touch sensor, a laser measurement sensor detects dimensions of workpieces, a display panel 4 for enabling user to input details, two primary robotic grippers 5 grip and position first workpiece near an auxiliary wedge shaped blade 6, a first robotic link 7 carves out a specific portion of first workpiece, two secondary robotic grippers 8 position second workpiece underneath first workpiece adjacent to carved portions, a drilling unit 9 drills carved portion for inserting nail 10 within first and second workpieces, a third robotic link 13 positions a glue gun 14 over carved portions to dispense binding solution over carved portions and a grinding unit 15 to provide a proper finishing."
