MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020685 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'automated workpiece joining device.'

Inventor(s) include Jayanta Kumar Mahato; Shivani Sharma; Preeti Garg; and Anshu Chaudhary.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated workpiece joining device, comprising a platform 1 attached with four rods 2 and each attached with a suction cup 3 for affixing platform 1 on ground surface, a multi-sectioned chamber 4 for storing workpiece and crafted with an inlet for enabling withdrawal and placement of workpiece, a touch interactive display panel 5 accessed by a user to input details dimension of workpiece, two robotic grippers 6 assembled on platform 1 for withdrawing and placing workpieces on a holder 7, a first robotic link 8 configured with a blade 9 for scraping junction of workpieces, a second robotic link 11 configured with a motorized screw installing unit 10 for engaging multiple screws at junction to secure workpieces, an electronic nozzle 12 connected with a glue reservoir 13 for dispensing adhesive solution at junction, a third robotic link 15 configured with a motorized grinder 14 for eliminating unevenity."
