MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011296 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 19, 2024, for 'automated worm wheel gearbox maintenance device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated worm wheel gearbox maintenance device, comprising a housing 1 installed with a button 2 pressed by user for initiating maintenance process of gearbox, an artificial intelligence-based image capturing unit 3 installed within housing 1 for capturing and detecting specification of gearbox printed over a plate attached over gearbox, a motorized gun barrel arrangement 4 stored with multiple tools for unfastening nut/bolt to remove oil catcher that is clasped by a motorized clamp 6 via motorized wrench, a C-shaped motorized clipper 7 to move out bearing out from gearbox, a chamber 9 filled with water attached within housing 1 to accommodate bearing, a welding unit 10 installed within housing 1 via a pneumatic bar 11 for welding crack of gearbox, and a motorized grinding unit 12 installed within housing 1 via a hydraulic pole 13 for smoothen surface of gearbox."
