MUMBAI, India, Sept. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311020501 A) filed by Galgotias University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on March 23, 2023, for 'automatic candies dispensing device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Vikas Singh; and Dr. Onkar Nath Mehra.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 27, under issue no. 39/2024.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automatic candies dispensing device comprises of a cuboidal body 1 housed with multiple chambers 2 stored with different type of candies, a touch enabled screen 3 for enabling a user to select type and number of the candies required by the user, a motorized iris lid for dispensing the candies in a successive manner in a slot 4 carved on an elongated member 5, a pair of motorized ball and socket joints for rotating the member 5 as a means of transferring the candies to an opening 7, a camera 6 for detecting collection of candies, an IR (Infrared) counter for detecting number of the candies dispensed on the slot 4, a weight sensor for weight of the candies stored in each of the chambers 2, an odor sensor for detecting candies to be rotten and a speaker 9 for notifying the user to discard the candies."
